Brendan: I’m a student from Intermedia One and we were told you all just love comments about your show 'Cognition.' Your split record idea is completely sick! We (as a class) couldn't help but wonder how you actually cut the records and make them still function. I liked how you put the records in cases and hung them on the wall to let the viewer interact with them and mess around with the player. The cut up albums on the wall are a work of art themselves and i really dig the way you hung them up. I wonder if maybe your project would receive more attention and interaction if you were to place it a distance away from the T.V.'s on the large table and maybe placed it on a coffee table of some sort or a smaller item. The cluttered table turned me off a bit but other than that everything you did was great.
Intermedia is a broad term that encompasses contemporary art practices where media, content, meaning, site and the role of the artist are fluid and inseparable. The goal of Intermedia is to create works, experiences, sites and situations that are trans or cross disciplinary, experimental and imaginative, meaningful and socially responsible.Intermedia II will build on the content, theory and investigations of Intermedia I, allowing for further individual and collaborative experimentation, production and creative research.
