Posting to the Blog with Two Links

An early work by Christo and Jeanne-Claude called "Iron Curtain" from 1962. They blocked a street with oil barrels. At this point they had started wrapping things, but nothing large scale yet. These are the guys who went on to do things like wrap buildings, coastlines, trees, did the "Gates" project in Central Park, etc, we talked about them in class for a minute one day. I think visually this is one of my favorites. it feels simplistic, but maybe that is just in comparison to the years of preparation and millions of dollars they began to put into each project beginning a few years later.
A little more info on the piece here and their homepage with all of their work here.

I watched the movie The Point (narrated by Ringo Starr) last weekend, and it started out slow but by the end of the movie it was pretty good, but the animation at times is really interesting, particularly this musical scene that doesn't really contribute to the plot at all.

Good luck on finishing up your projects for the show!
