Portuguese designer and illustrator João – who’s currently studying Communication Design while also working as a freelancer for various studios, agencies and brands including Bleed Studio and Pilot magazine – isn’t one to put all his creative eggs in one basket.

“Despite not sticking to a single style for too long, my work has been described as a retro futuristic mixture, mixing vintage, electro and classical aesthetics in a single experimental piece,” he says. “The positive aspect of having such a wide range of styles on my portfolio is being able to adapt to and fulfil all my clients’ needs effectively.”

The Party João created this self-initiated piece to plug his portfolio. “I mixed retro and modern aesthetics with the use of geometric shapes, black and white illustrations and vivid colours,” he says.
